My partner has been having treatment for a number of years now and unfortunately due to the booking systems, we seem to go round in circles! They won't allow my partner to book appointments on the way out and instead send him ones via the post. When the postal one arrives (if it ever arrives!), often it is booked at time that is extremely inconvenient and when trying to call the hospital to rearrange then the phone lines ring out or are engaged and you can never get through! Then when you finally get through all they can do is send another appointment via the post! The most recent issue is that my partner had some treatment with the Restorative department and the follow up appointment must be within three weeks. However, my partner was not informed of this prior to his appointment. The next two weeks after the appointment we are abroad on holiday and therefore the appointment must be in the third week but yet again we cannot book the appointment with the receptionists and have to wait for the post to come. Yet the third week is back In school time and with my partner working in a school the time needs booking off prior to the Easter holidays. To cut a long story short, the appointment booking services and phone lines need improvement!
