"OnlyIndegestion - no pain in the arm - no chest..."

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

I had been suffering with Indigestion for about 45 minutes as we were driving past my doctors my partner made me go in, seen quickly by the doctor, ECG was OK but responded to GTN spray, quick call to the Ambulance service and whisked in through A&E, exceptional care, blood tests, heart attack. Admitted through AMU to the Cardiology Ward (38). Amazing nursing care, exceptional patience with old equipment that needs replacing. A day or so later - Nervous patient taken for angioplasty - given something - was wide awake, no longer nervous , no worries, felt like a bucket of cold water thrown over my arm, minutes later Cardiologist tells me there is a single blockage, Say its either Bypass Surgery or Stent - Still wide awake I say OK, 2 minutes later she says - done -off to recovery. This is the NHS at its best doing what it was designed to do saving lives. Thank you

Hi Stephen

Thank you for your wonderful comments about the treatment you received at Blackpool Victoria Hospital recently. All our staff strive to do the best they can to make the treatment run smoothly and quickly for the patients they treat, especially in urgent cases such as yours.

I'm so pleased that you were made to feel reassured and well looked after by our staff. I will personally ensure that your kind feedback is passed onto them, who will be delighted to hear that you had a positive experience overall and that you were put at ease by their expert knowledge and patience at what was understandably a worrying time for yourself and your family. We really appreciate you getting in touch and hope that you are making a good recovery now.

All the very best for the future.
