"Postponed planned surgical procedure"

I was told a bed had been reserved for me at Tameside General Hospital under the care of Mr Swaminathen and to attend at 07. 30am on my procedure day. After waiting in the waiting area of DSEU for almost 6 hours I was in formed at 1. 00pm that my procedure had been cancelled because a bed couldn't be found for me.

I was taken aside by some other doctor and spoken to so rudely and dismissively and just told I'd be sent another appointment.

I understand it's a busy Hospital and emergencies come in all the time and beds are needed, but surely someone should have come and told me sooner the bed had gone and not left me sat there for 6 hours.
