Hi, it’s about a year since I finished my course of talking therapies and I just wanted to let you know that I have found long germ consequences to the treatment as well as short term. I have found that it has given me a set of skills and coping strategies to deal with stressful situation and so I have been able to avoid the debilitating effects of anxiety which I suffered previously. The most useful tool for me was the method of considering alternative options in my life and thinking what is the ‘least worst’ course of action? An also writing down all the ‘worries’ and then dealing with those I could and putting the others on the back burner.
For me the CBT has helped me to be calmer + more rational in my decision making. I learned that I really struggled to say ‘no’ to demands on me which has left me constantly over burned. I am getting better at that. I would (+have) recommended Inclusion Matters talking therapies for anyone with anxiety related issues.
