As a recent visitor (and a former employee of Bristol NHS) to ward 4 Elgar House I was very disappointed not to see any alco gel available on the ward, there was also none on entering or leaving the ward. Is this not Basic INFECTION CONTROL? I am currently employed by Poole NHS and every ward has alco gel available on entering and leaving my own ward also has it on every bed. I am not complaining about the care my relative is receiving whilst in Elgar House but I felt I needed to point out the lack of alco gel.
