I feel that Leeds care for the elderly is an absolute disgrace and in my opinion, it is about time some of our counsellors spent a day on the wards for the elderly, and i mean not a date booked in advance but a unanounced visit.They then would see what a disgracefull way we treat our elderly.
I work in the field that covers drug and alcohol in leeds and it seems to me that we show the people who use this service far more respect than we do our elderly. Why should we not give better care to those elderly people who are often very vulnerable, weak and scared?
