"My first consultation at Circle"

About: Circle Reading

Unfortunately coincided with the Lions Prostate cancer campaign - 11th March. My first encounter was the previous week for a CPR training evening which was excellent - except for the food - (curry followed by bread & butter pudding!!) The following week was my routine consultation with the doctor- whom I've seen for seven years now - previously at Spire Dunedin. This was excellent as usual, but parking took 20 minutes, the atrium was frenetic, and extra seats had to be placed in the small corridor leading to the doctor's consulting room. The receptionist, the nurse, the radiographer who did the mammo were all very helpful, friendly and efficient, which all adds much needed reassurance in such circumstances. However, wading through the hordes of people plus the car parking fiasco merely added unnecessary stress to a scenario I've come to feel reasonably comfortable with. The whole ambience of the atrium is welcoming, calm and very beautiful - but incorporating such a bun fight into that serenity seems at odds with the concept of reassuring patients!! I am a private medical secretary & have worked in BIH so am familiar with medical arenas.

Thank you for the taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We are delighted to provide complimentary CPR training for people who work within Healthcare outside of Circle Reading Hospital and the offer of food as part of the training evening. We apologise that you did not enjoy the food combination provided on the evening of the training. Thank you for your feedback in relation to the Lions Prostate Event which took place on the same evening as your appointment. Although we had arranged offsite park and ride facilities for all the attendees and allocated a separate waiting area, to ensure our patients and visitors were minimally affected, we apologise that this was your experience and your feedback has been shared for future evening events.
