I fell down a full flight of stairs at home. Shattering my left lower leg. From the time the ambulance arrived to the operation I can thank all the staff at East Surrey Hospital enough from the trauma team to Mr Panose the surgeon who saved my leg. The nursing staff on Newdigate ward and the physiotherapy team.
Mr Panose took time to explain how a cadaver bone would benifit me and help to save the lower leg. His team came to the ward to ensure I fully understood the whole procedure. The nursing staff were amazing even though short staffed at times nothing was never to much for them and always greeted you with a smile.
I am now on the road to recovery, I ve had it explained its not a quick heal, as I also suffer from lymphedema down my right side so already struggled with mobility.
One word amazing!
"One word; Amazing!"
