"Food service ,first time stayers need to know"

About: Homerton University Hospital

Was in hospital from 4pm by the time was moved to an normal ward dinner time was over so asked for food ,who know I was going to have to stay I was given a sandwich pack .being 27 weeks preg I was expected eat that n go through the night!not just that I had to ask like 4 times and then after hour an half I got Sandwhich. Make sure u pack food ,forget clothes! First of all never served in time, had to keep nagging when the food will be ready ,not nice when you having to eat for two. Breakfast was served at 10.30 n when I got der tea was cold n not enough to go around. We wasn't told that ders more people in the ward .common sense now u know make more toast don't take long plus to boil kettle but no they didn't. Lunch was served gone 2pm half of the preg woman was served I was one of the lucky one.but hey what I ordered was soup for starter with bun, main salmon wiv cabbage n potatoe, n pudding crackers n cheese n orange juice . N for night simliar stuff Change main halal lamb curry.back to lunch what did I get served no soup,no bun ,ready made dinner the salmon ,n a jelly pot n my juice. I stop the person serving it n confirmed is this for me n they were like yeah .i ask them where's the soup?bun? N my crackers n cheese .why have I got jelly I didn't order that . We have no soup ,no I apprently didn't ask for bun they claimed n the jelly they decided to Giv as also they run out if cheese n crackers. I was fuming as I'm have had a decent meal n starving of hunger since I've bed admitted . They were serving me jelly wiv gelatine when clearly I ordered halal food for the night . They went n changed the jelly for an apple as I said not having it n want alternative. N for starter was advise to talk to the kitchen stuff which got no wher ,was offered no alternative but was promised a bun but never got it,I waited n give up . The midwife who was on the ward I went n told them n then they requested I got something else so the service got my two Sandwhich n had to choose .one was cheese n tomatoe n the other was ham and cheese.hello I already moaned about gelatine in my jelly. The food wouldn't even fill one corner of my stomach so how did they expect that it was good enough for preg woman! If I got alternative mayb I world have not starved to death . I didn't have my baby then but needed to monitored,im dreading going back but it's my local but will defo fill my bag wiv food! Went there for care but ended up feeling more ill ,low in iron I wonder way for not eating . Nhs funds our food but they didn't meet the requirement. All advise to first time stayers make sure you take plenty of snacks !due in couple of months so let's see it there's any changes .will write an update review . But defo won't expect much I will take my own food . I have pictures to prove my dinner .people should be allowed access to the kitchen making teas and using the microwave life will be a lot better!
