Management decided to close the ward I was admitted to at Pontefract just 48 hours after my surgery. They claimed I was transferring to the same standard of ward and care. This was completely untrue. The care was substandard. I was left upset and received very poor care despite being unable to manage to even make my way to the bathroom easily. The necessary equipment needed to support me which I was able to access at Pontefract was not available. Staff talked about patients openly outside my room. At my request I was eventually transferred back to Pontefract after 24 hours.
