"Ward 5 Day Case Unit"

A with every contact I have had at Bradford Royal Infirmary l, yet again can only speak in the highest regard for this part of the Bradford Teaching NHS Trust All the staff on Ward 5 today (19th March) treated me with same compassion, dignity and respect that I have had from Ultra Sound, CT Scanning, And Colonoscopy units recently. Today,(from my bedside), I was able to see how dedicated the Ward 5 staff were to everyone. It was a Day Case unit, but had everything you would expect from longer term situations. Ward 5 just amazed me at how excellent they were in treating every case with sympathy and compassion,this despite working in an extremely busy unit. Initially I allowed a dreadful experience St Lukes Hospital on Monday (16th March) to cloud my judgement of my own profession. It was unfair to Ward 5,, and if I came across initially as such I want to apologise for this, especially to the very first, Nurse who saw me. I was able throughout the day to see real kindness and professionalism. I just thank God the Ward 5 staff restored my faith in the goodness and humanity of my profession. Could I also send my thanks and admiration to the lovely cleaning person who was so lovely. R.Ancliff
