"Diabetic support review for a newly diagnosed..."

I would like to say an enormous thank you to the WSH diabetic support team. My 19 year old son Tom was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last week which came as a great shock. He has received amazing support which has helped hugely in accepting this. The nurse on the ward, the diabetic nurse and the dietician spent time clearly and patiently explaining what was happening that first day . They have been supporting Tom daily ever since ( and the entire family) making sure his sugars are stabilising, and that we have never felt alone in this . We now feel confident enough to continue with our holiday to Dubai.. Today we spent time with another dietician which is all invaluable.. Thank you so much everyone! Jo G
