"Rheumatology waiting times"

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

I got a letter asking me to make an appointment, I rang up only to be told my Rheumatologist( seen them once, and they could not get me out of the door fast enough, then did not bother writing to my Gp) was on maternity leave and another was leaving, so they could not give me an apt til the end of June! Due to be seen in March. Leave it with them and they will send me an appt out. Rung back a few weeks later, been told I have been put on a list, when this list is full they will put another clinic on! I am in pain and my GP says its only the consulatant who can increase my medication!. Looked at waiting list times, 44 days for inital appt, that's good if your not already in the system, but looks like it's tough if you are!! Never mind that I'm too ill to work or care for my children properly.
