"Found a breast lump and had to go to the clinic"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18)

(as the patient),

I found a breast lump on my right breast in early February.

From visiting my GP to getting my results, the whole process was very quick and easy and all over and done with within 2 weeks. From my Gp to the breast consultant the radiographer ultrasound consultant and the nurses at out patient I had a very stress free experience which was invaluable as I was already scared and anxious.

Each member of staff I met was wonderful and very professional. I had a fantastic experience and would like to name and share. 😃

Dear Lama,

Thanks very much for your post. I'm so glad you had a really positive experience at what is often a worrying time.

I would be more than happy to share your comments with the GP Practice, if you could contact me to let me know which practice you are registered at that would be great.

You can email me at laura.bryan@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk or telephone on 01698 858 292

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks

Laura

Dear Lama,

Like Laura, I am delighted to read that you had such a positive experience when attending Wishaw General. This is the level of person-centred care that we aspire to for all our patients.

It will be my pleasure to share your feedback with the doctors, nurses and radiographers in the relevant departments you attended. If you’d like to identify particular members of staff please contact our Patient Affairs Department on Tel No: 01698 366558 and speak with Joanne or Yvonne.

Best wishes for the future.

Kind regards

Anne Leitch
