"Good care for septic arthritis"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

During a very busy shift at work my knee began to swell dramatically and two days later I was admitted to East Surrey Hospital a&e at about 1pm.

By 8am the following morning I had an athroscopy to try and remove the infection, I was later admitted to Brook Ward where I was given I/v antibiotics.

Staying in Brook Ward was the best hospital stay I could have wished for the staff were fantastic as was the food! I was discharged 14 days later to receive I/v antibiotics at home

Dear surrey dweller

Thank you for your kind words about your recent stay in Brook Ward. It is good to read that you felt so well looked after and I am particularly pleased that you enjoyed the food!

Kind regards

Ian
