"Maternity"

About: City Hospital (Birmingham)

I had this hospital booked in for my pregnancy. started off fantastic with appointments on time but progressively the treatment has got worse. no one has anytime to actually give patient care. The individual staff are working hard and are pleasant, but do not communicate as a team with my induction. I felt I was rushed into trying to have a c section because they had busy lists on Monday so I would need to agree Sunday, as I was a slow labourer. I believe this was not fair treatment. I should have been given more options, rather than an overwhelming sense of information in one go. It is a shame really. also I thought it was really bad infection control to be running from the main hospital to maternity in complete scrub attire for theatre! And the hospital is generally unclean and messy

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us. I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the care you received. I am concerned that you felt rushed and would like to look into this further. I would be grateful if you can send the details of your care to our Patient Advice and Liaison Services via swb-tr.pals@nhs.net so that we can fully investigate. Thank you, Toby Lewis, Chief Executive.
