I have been receiving care from the community matron for the last 2-3 years. She has been excellent. When I am really unwell she visits weekly and then if I am better she just visits every 2-3 weeks. I have COPD, asthma; I am diabetic and also have epilepsy. It keeps me out of hospital, because she monitors my sugar levels and looks after me. Excellent service. I have been admitted into hospital once this year with pneumonia and the staff were also excellent at the Royal Queens Park in Blackburn.
