"Telephone contact"

About: St Helier Hospital

I rang this evening 16.3.15 to try to find out if someone had been admitted, attempted to get through to the department and the phone just rang and rang and rang. How are people supposed to find out where their relatives, friends are if the phone is not answered?????

Thanks for your comment. It's very important to us that our patients and their visitors are always treated with care and compassion and are kept well-informed of their situation. Whilst the staff on our wards are very busy and are not always available to answer the phones, it is still of concern to us that you were not able to get through. Could you please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison (PALS) team on 0208 296 2508 and explain to them that you were unable to contact the ward/department in question? This way we can review what has happened and try to make sure that a similar situation does not occur in future. Many thanks.
