On Thursday 12/03/15 Lymington MIU referred my husbands to Salisbury hospital because he had suffered burns to his knees. On Saturday 14/03/15 the dressings that Salisbury burns unit had used needed changing & to save us traveling from the New Forest to Salisbury they suggested going to Lymington to have new dressings. Once my husband arrived at Lymington MIU the receptionist was very rude & straight away turned him away saying they couldn't help. He explained what dressing he needed & proved the name of it which Salisbury hospital had given us & also said that Salisbury were happy for Lymington to phone them if they needed to but the receptionist refused! My husband was turned away with undressed burns to his knees which Salisbury have said could need skin grafts! The way he was spoken to at Lymington was disgraceful & the fact that the receptionist wouldn't even check to see what they could do for him makes me sick! My husband has now had to drive all the way to Salisbury were he will be seen straight away & be greeted by friendly & helpful staff!
"Awful"
