"Review of children's accident and emergency"

About: St Helier Hospital

We were triaged quickly and told there would be an hours wait. We waited about two and a half hours. The lack of communication was the issue. If I had been advised two and a half hours I would have been happy to wait. Instead I boiled in the waiting room for an hour and a half. Let people know what is happening and very few will get cross. Please also remove noisy toys from the waiting room. Other badly behaved children using these did not help anyones sanity.

We thank you for your feedback and apologise for the wait and lack of communication you experienced; we’ll pass all of your comments to our children’s A&E departments.
