"I suffered a severe stroke and was taken care of"

In January my wife found me collapsed in our hallway early evening. On dialing 999 she had good response form the operator who maintained contact with her until the ambulance promptly arrived. The paramedics did a great job of getting me stabilised and then transporting me into Perth Royal Infirmary in time so that I could be successfully be treated by the waiting stroke team. They were able to work their magic and I was then very very well attended by nurses and staff in the HDU and then the stroke ward. My family could hardly believe that I was released within 48hours of the event. Since then I have been monitored and well taken care of by PRI and the Blairgowrie Community Hospital. On behalf of my family and myself I would like to say a huge thank you to all involved. The sunny nature and obvious dedication to their work must be a great boost to all patients they have to deal with.
