wish you provided phone numbers on the internet for each unit.. no one can direct my call as they didn't know which unit my friend was in. nor a computer to look up details by name of patient only...as the list of telephone options names the units, if you don't know which unit there in you stay on the line but couldn't help me for reasons stated above... many thanks wendy evans

Thank you for leaving your feedback, I am sorry that you had difficulties in finding your friend. AWP's website does list the numbers for individual units but I am aware that NHS choices does not give this level of detail. However, I understand this is not a lot of help if you do not know which ward someone is on. It is difficult for staff as they often cannot give out information about who is on our wards without the permission of the service user, however, it is always possible for staff to get a message to someone to ask if they are happy to have this information shared. If this happens again, I would advise giving the PALS team a ring and they can help you.
