"Experience of A&E"

About: Good Hope Hospital

Yesterday, I had a minor accident in which I cut the top of my head. As the bleeding showed no sign of stopping, and as I am a pensioner, living on my own since the death of my wife four years ago, I decided to take myself to the hospital A&E Department. Within 10 minutes of my arrival I was seen by a happy, smiling reassuring nurse who checked my vital signs, dealt efficiently with my wound and sent me on my way with plenty of advice as to what to do in the next few days. What a contrast to the tales of woe with which we are continually bombarded! I take as I find, and as far as I'm concerned I have nothing but praise for our NHS, Good Hope Hospital, and its A&E Department

Dear Alan Clare

It was a pleasure to read your story regarding your experience in our ED at Good Hope Hospital. I have forwarded your feedback to the Matron who I know will be thrilled to receive your email.

Kind regards and a speedy recovery

Iona
