"The Care"

I had a small procedure at this hospital which is a private hospital, I am in fact an NHS patient and I can say was treated extremely well by the hospital. I have been fortunate in the past to have had procedures here as a private patient and felt there was not a huge difference between the care I received from all the staff. Could I make a small suggestion regarding the food I was offered a sandwich which I personally felt should be packed separately e.g. Tuna, egg mayo, cheese & pickle and Tuna. As a patient we are encouraged to eat after a general anaesthetic as this helps towards a patient proving they are recovering. I was unable to eat these sandwiches due to the fact I can not eat tuna, I would of preferred just one choice! The member of staff dealing with the food noted my comment and offered me toast which I welcomed as I was feeling nauseous. I understand the cost and convenience of this method as I work in school meals but we acknowledge feedback from the pupils we deliver a service too. I really can not fault anything else and would certainly go back as a NHS patient in the future. The speed of being referred and seen took just under 12 weeks so thank you for giving NHS patients these options. The Berkshire independent hospital offers a far superior level of service and care I received previously by The Circle hospital in Reading where I paid to have the same procedure 14 months ago! It would also be nice to publicly acknowledge the staff who care for their patients my dealings were excellent my nurse Sam was true to her profession as was the ward sister who listened to me regarding the antibiotics I was offered which I know personally do not work for me as suffering almost 9 years of infections and having these prescribed in the past, she went and changed them for tablets more suitable for my needs! Thank you
