My partner had a scan at the end of July for a lump on his bowel. He has received a letter explaining that the lump is a hernia and that the consultant surgeon will give him an outpatient appointment to see what can be done about it.
It is now the end of October - I have made numerous calls to the surgeon's secretary and to the clinic and to the scan department.
My partner's hernia is now beginning to cause him pain.
How long will he and others have to wait?
We have been happy with the service provided by the Treatment Centre but the liaison with the hospitals and the GPs and the consultants does not appear to be joined up.
