Response from Mel Cunningham, Chef, The Wells Road, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Hello, thank you for your comments regarding the food in the restaurant at The Wells Road centre.

The chip shop Friday is so popular that we have kept it on the new Spring/Summer menus and it is here to stay.

We have put a non spicy dish to contrast the menu to suit all needs.

The prawn and crab on the salad bar is a regular now.

Regarding seconds of veg, once everyone has been served you can ask for more vegetables.

We are working towards picture menus, and they will be put into place in the near future.

We do put fresh fruit salad on the menu aswell as a selection of fresh fruit.

The weekend buffets have now been having a good selection of different fillings on the cobs and sandwiches for a while now. Hope you like them.

The size of the portions is regulated however you can top up on the salad bar.

Maccaroni cheese is now featured on the menu and will remain so.

Curry is a firm favourite and will remain on the menu.

We will look into the order of sittings for meal times in the near future.

We are sorry for any confussion with the halal meals, I have spoken to the chefs and asked them to inform each other of what halal was offered at lunch and tea time and make sure that is is different.

Once again please feel free to come and speak with any member of the catering staff with any queries
