"very member of staff on the unit was fantastic"

I was admitted to Resus at Good Hope last week following an asthma attack, the care and professionalism was excellent in A and E.

I was then transferred to ITU for further treatment. My last admission to ITU was exactly a year before when I was extremely poorly and nearly died but thanks to the excellent care of the doctors and nurses they saved my life while supporting my family and friends through the difficult time.

Because of this previous experience I was exceptionally anxious about my admission back onto ITU, the staff though could not of been more fantastic realising this and putting me at ease. Every member of staff on the unit was fantastic and made you feel that they always had time for you even when they were rushed off their feet.

When people are so quick to knock the NHS I think it's important to praise all the hard work and care the staff give under extreme pressure at times. Without the dedication and expertise of these staff within the trust I may not of been here today to thank them.
