Ward 16 From admission to departure everything was so well managed and carried out. The nurses seemed to be in good moral and genuinely cared about my care. Attention to cleanliness at all times ( gloves, hand wash etc), prompt answering of bells. Food was excellent and would be worthy of a 4* on Trip Advisor.. If you like curries, their Halal menu is superb. Only critismn here is that the staff had trouble understanding my choice and I had the wrong meal on a couple of occasions ( the one delivered was still excellent) Another slight complaint were the toilets. Of the 4, one was permanently out of order ( roof leaking) On the Saturday the other 2 needed cleaning all day. Surgical care was of course thoroughly professional and the anaesthetists offered a number of alternatives with plenty of good advice. Although I'm an atheist, the chaplain who visited me was also most helpful and friendly and we cracked a few jokes! I had a total knee replacement which had a couple of pre op problems for the surgeons to sort out. They explained the procedures and risks very well. Pain control was also very good with nurses helping to keep it under control when it all got a bit too much. Thank you all You were a great team
"Excellent care , as good as any private service ."
