"My husband has still not had the surgery he needs"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

(as a relative),

My Husband is waiting for arterial bypass, one operation date of January 2009 was cancelled on the day because they feared he had TB proved unfounded. Next date of August was given that also was cancelled two days before. Now we fear he is lost in the system between the consultant's secretary being on the sick for three weeks , then two weeks ago a consultant saw him and promised to sort it out that afternoon after waiting two weeks I phoned up and was told that the consultant left the hospital three days later without arranging a operation.

We are at the end of our tether with all the excuses we get and we do not know where to turn, at 56years old my husband has lost his job relies on me to take him everywhere in a wheelchair. In my opinion he is on the scrap heap due to the inept health service.
