My husband was admitted to ward 32 initially on 5th March 2015 for a Cardiac Ablation, where the nurses and staff were very professional and very efficient with his pre-op preparation. Within an hour or so of him being on the ward, he was taken to theatre for a six and hour proceedure under general anaesthetic. As we live in Birmingham, during his pre-op visit the week prior to admittance, we were informed that we could book hospital accommodation for me and my daughter to stay in at a price of £29.00 for the night and we were so grateful for this service. The accommodation was clean and very adequate and although it was not the Ritz, it provided us with a twin bedroom, kitchen with facilities to cook or heat food and tea making (which we drank gallons of) and a shared bathroom. My husband was taken to ward 33 following his operation and again, the care from all staff was very professional and they took very good care of my husband, for which we are very grateful. We would highly recommend Glenfield Hospital to any one that needs treatment and we were very happy with the care and services that were provided to us during a very anxious time for us. Thank you xx
