"Long waiting times for migraine treatment"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Neurology Leicester Royal Infirmary / Neurology

(as the patient),

I was referred to a specialist for my migraines as I have been suffering badly with them for a while, so I waited 2 months to see the specialist who advised me to have MRI tests and gave me a medication which would be reviewed two months later.

I had to wait weeks to have the MRI Scan and a month on still have no results and no follow up appointment as they said. I rang the hostpital and they said I am on a waiting list for May, which is another 2 months away so altogether 5 months it is taking.

It is so long winded and I am still suffering with bad migraines with an unknown cause so I am not happy.

Dear 0509meto,

We would like the opportunity to look into this further for you but in order to do so, will need your full name, adddress and DOB, as well as the name of the specialist you have been referred to in Neurology.

If you could please email these details to communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk we will put you in touch with the right team.

Kind regards
