"Cancelled appointments for my son"

I received a letter from local hospital canceling my sons appointment, Just 2 days before his appointment (letter received on the Saturday his appointment is on the Tuesday) and not offering an alternative.

I rang them up as doctors think my son has narcolepsy and it is progressively getting worse ( falls asleep in school on a daily basis), the lady on the phone said she don't know why it was canceled and when I explained that he is getting worse she said go back to the doctors as she couldn't tell me when I will get an appointment ( id waited 5 mths as it was)

I then rang the doctors and it took my doctor 3 days to call me and she then said she cannot refer my son to anther hospital as he is in the system and to ring the hospital and get them to make you another appointment which they cannot,

I know the consultant in question had a meeting with my sons school regarding other children the meeting was after the letter was received and the day before my sons appointment
