"Still in Pain"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

I was referred by my GP too see a consultant re; an extremely excrutiating painful finger & hand (which had broken 1 year ago) Out of 10 the pain is a maximum 10. My GP had a letter back saying the referral is rejected, saying i should go to a pain clinic, no point as the painkillers prescribed do not work. How can MRI refuse to see a patient who has suffered a whole year of the worst pain imaginable & needs to know what is causing this is unbelievable. I'm mortified at the refusal & my GP is disgusted. Having painkillers is not the answer when the pain goes on & on..
