"Thank you with all my heart."

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

I had an angiogram last month which unfortunately couldn't be completed due to a thrombosis near my heart and my foot went dead due to the femoral artery problem. So instead of staying in the day care unit I was there 2 nights. My care was exceptional. CT scan and hooked up to various appliances. Was told the worst case scenario was that I could lose my life and surgery might be needed that night. Luckily this was not the case. I cannot praise all the staff enough from the cardiac team who kept me talking to the wonderful nurse who could not do enough for me and others on the ward despite being short staffed in the morning. The nurse who looked after me and carried my bag outside when my son came to collect me. I am sure I will be visiting again in the future but am sure that I will receive the same amount of compassion and care. The only downside is the parking but not sure what the hospital can do about that! Xxxx thank you.

Response from Royal Sussex County Hospital

Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to post your kind review. I am pleased to see that you had such a positive experience at what must have been a very worrying time for you. I will pass on your compliments to the Cardiac team, who I know will be very pleased to see them. With reference to the parking situation, you may be aware that we plan to start a major redevelopment of the Royal Sussex County Hospital soon and whilst completion of the first phase is several years away, there will be an increase in the number of parking spaces when it is completed. Thanks again, Andrew Harvey Patient Advice & Liasison Service
