"It's a shambles."

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

First time I went to get an mri scan there they did not give me the correct information which lead to them cancelling my appointment because I wasn't given a time frame in which to drink the mannitol fluid. When I was told I couldn't be seen the radiographer was very rude, I was petrified any way because I've never had an mri scan. Not only were they rude, whilst waiting for my scan they left an elderly lady in a movable bed just in the corridor and I was there for atleast an hour and no one had even checked on her.

Dear Mr Warne We're concerned and disappointed to read about your experience on NHS choices regarding your MRI scan appointment at Eastbourne DGH. As a Trust we aim to provide high quality care and therefore staff being rude is completely unacceptable. We apologise that your experience was poor. Please be assured that we take all comments very seriously and have forwarded your posting to the Head of Radiology Services to take appropriate action. If at all possible, we would like the opportunity to speak to you and apologise in person. If you would like to do this, please make contact with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). PALS can be contacted by phone 01323 435886, by email esh-tr.PALSE@nhs.net, or in person by dropping in between 9am – 4pm (Mon-Fri) to the PALS office located in the main entrance opposite the WRVS Coffee Shop. Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback.
