"A and E / Paedeatrics"

About: Tameside General Hospital

i visited the A and E department with my 7 month old son. The nurses and doctor who treated him were incredible. attentive, caring and focussed despite it being extremely busy and not enough staff to deal with the high demand. The same goes for Paediatrics - from the minute I was admitted I was looked after by every single member of the team, especially 2 nurses who could not have done enough for me and my baby. This hospital is slated too much and staff bear the brunt of it - think before you speak, it's not the staff causing the problem it's the big boys at the top, cutting costs and having not enough staff on. I cannot praise them enough.

’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at
