"Poor elderly care at Basingstoke & North Hants Hospital"

On one occasion I found my father lying in his own excrement for what seemed like hours. I was told the ward had ran out of his drugs and syringes to administer them. They also said they ran out of incontinence pads. I saw Patients with challenging dementia behaviours there. I was informed that urine samples were lost. I saw blood test phials left in public areas. My father was moved 11 times during his stay. I strongly feel that my father was not being treated well on the elderly care ward in Basingstoke. I felt the nurses do not care and found the matron was rarely available. I really think this is appalling.
