"Why is all this pain Normal?? Don't think so!"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I recently have been having Gynae probs. I collapsed in a lot of pain. scans shown That I had 2 cysts on L ovary, and Hydrosalpinx on R fallopian tube. I was given lots of medication to help clear it up.

Yesterday (6 weeks later) I saw a Gynae dr who said that todays scan showed that one cyst had collapsed, the other had not changed at all, the Hydrosalpinx had gone too. However, I had a new cyst on the right which was full of blood, 1 cm. All in all better news than it was 6 weeks ago.

BUT...I'm still getting lots of pain. The Dr said it was normal, all women get pain... When I get pain I double over coz its that severe...NORMAL?? Can't be. The doctor tried to say it was my bowel, which is nonsense. .. said I was worried for nothing...The doctor hasn't seen me when I have been in pain. I don't see all women collapse in pain allover the place?

I felt this Dr's attitude to me was way wrong. In my opinion the Dr was not professional at all. However, the nurse was a very good nurse, she understood my concerns. Nurses don't get much credit, but I have come across some very very good nurses.

I am visiting my GP next week to ask to be referred to another Hospital for a second opinion. I hope I will be entiltiled to this.

A big thank you to all the nurses on C31/ C32 anda special thanks to the nurse on Clinic 3.

As for the Dr, not satisfied I'm afraid.....
