I recently posted a story regarding my partner who lives in the Bolton area. I thought that things had got better but they have got worse.

In my opinion, the specialist turned out to be a waste of space and so did their secretary who spoke to my partner over two weeks ago and said they would contact her about test results and didn’t. Today a message was relayed to her saying that there will be a four month wait to be seen again and that there is a backlog. Meanwhile there is no treatment for her and in the last ten days she has lost a lot of mobility and has to think twice before going out.

My partner has had to wait seven days to see a lady Doctor at her Kearsly medical centre as it was the earliest she could be placed.

It is because of this that I have spoken to Ms Lesley Anne Fraser at Lever Chambers in Bolton (as recommended in response to my previous posting). Don’t worry about the phone number it is not recognised, surprise surprise.

I have told her that unless I hear something by tomorrow lunchtime regarding progress in her case, I will hold her, all associated with her and the people responsible for my partners care in this matter, responsible for her well being. I shall be contacting Bolton hospital and its administrators with the same message after lunchtime tomorrow.

We are very sorry to read of ongoing dissatisfaction, as posted by the partner of a service user. As a result of this we can provide assurance that the service manager has made contact with the patient directly and provided information and further explanation in respect of the initiation of treatment and the four month follow up review of that plan. Contact details of the service manager have been provided to the service user, such that she can raise directly any concerns or issues.

We trust our actions and direct communication have alleviated any misunderstanding or concerns.
