"Cumbria Partnership Staff"

About: North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust

(as a staff member),

I have been a member of staff for 17 years , in that time I have been employed by 4 different trusts, been "subject" to a "managment" restructure every 2 years and have never moved more than 8 miles in my work base.

I am tired of change, I think I cope well with change, but there is just too much of it.

It feels like a waste of money, whilst I do realise that it is in fact to save money.

We were promised when we went back to Localities, 2 years ago that there would not be a change in the next 2 years .

There is only one constant, I see the same clients who were my patients 17 years ago and I like them very much.

Thank you for your feedback, it’s good that you have felt able to speak up about your experience. Due to the complexity of your comments I have passed this onto the Director of Operations for response. The Trust has adopted a 25 day approach to responding to issues on Patient Opinion. This is to give us time to look into the issues raised and give consideration prior to responding. I hope you are able to understand this. I hope that despite the changes, you are still enjoying your job. The Trust have a project called WorkWell at the moment, hopefully you will have heard of this. The project has been set up to ensure you have a working environment that promotes, supports and protects your health, happiness and well-being. Work Well are always looking for new people to join the project team. I have forwarded your comments to the Work Well lead to ensure your views are heard within the project. If you are interested in joining the Work Well project the lead for this is Kate Bowditch who can be contacted by e-mail or telephone on 01228 603072.

Thankyou for your feedback. We do appreciate that lots of changes can be difficult for our staff. In line with many other organisations who are spending public money, we make these changes not just to improve our efficiency but also to improve the quality of our services and the patient experience.

We try really hard to minimise the impacts on our staff through consultation and good communication with our partnership forum. As a valued member of staff we hope that you will see benefits to you and your patients in the coming months.
