"Ambulance staff were marvelously professional"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My 79 year old husband collapsed at a funeral, of all places.

The ambulance arrived within 10 minutes and the two men on board were marvellously professional. They were with us for an hour, they explained exactly what they were doing and why. They were calm and cheerful and kept me informed as well as dealing with my husband. It was particularly useful to have the clinical record sheet and ECG printouts to pass on to the GP, whom we saw the promptly the next day.

Dear eirwen76

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope your husband is recovering well and feeling much better now.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients, and those around them, when they need us most.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto the ambulance crew who came to your aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date and address that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
