On Saturday my Husband was helping me in the garden by cutting branches in a tree when he fell out on the tree onto a brick wall and then bounced on to the ground. I called 111, the paramedics arrived within minutes and were just so nice!
They had to come in through the garage but were unfazed by this, they were very calm and unflustered. They took great care of my husband but also made time to look after me and made sure I was OK. They kept my husband jolly and were very kind to him, taking him to the Royal United Hospital A&E department for further checks.
All the staff at the hospital were lovely. I’m sure the paramedics and the hospital staff see many people but they made us feel special and important, we really mattered. My family had followed us to hospital in their car and were also impressed at how well we were looked after.
