"Dismissive"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

We went to Urgent Care last night and everything and everyone was polite and professional , until we got sent to the Minors Department and was seen by a CT3 Doctor I found flippant and dismissive, caring more about who was going to be on that night, instead of seeing to the need of their patient. At the end of the night, I felt that we had wasted several hours of our life being there. Other than that, the Nurses and other staff were fantastic.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. I will share your positive comments about Urgent Care and the Emergency Department Minors nurses and non medical staff with the team. I have had a look at the staff who were on the 3rd and 4th of March and could not identify a CT3 doctor in Minors. I would very much like to feedback to the individual so he / she could learn from this. As such, may I ask you to give us some more details regarding your visit via UHL’s website http://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/patients/patient-welfare/patient-information-and-liaison-service/ email: pils@uhl-tr.nhs.uk / or free phone 08081 788337. I hope you are recovering well and am sorry to hear your overall experience fell short of the standard we are steadily working towards. Sincerely, Pro Mukherjee Consultant in Emergency Medicine University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust
