About: Kent and Medway Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust

(as a relative),

My dad had a complex fracture of tibia and fibula caused by industrial accident in Oct 2014. He has been on rehab programme from physio who recommended that he could do with a biomechanical assesment from specialist podiatrist.

My dad completed a self referral and hand delivered it to local clinic in Hythe - south east kent community trust. He was advised that the waiting list was 8 months and a year if he attended Ashford. I therefore presume that this podiatry service does not have a role in rehab which requires to be timeous in order to prevent chronicity and in order to compliment the overall rehab programme that he has been given.

My dads case aside -8-12 months wait for a service is quite frankly a non service. I'm embarrassed for the podiatry service who must have little or no support in addressing this.

Dear Jo, we are really sorry that your father has had this experience. We'd like to investigate this in more detail, but in order to do this we will need you to provide us with more information. Can you please email kcht.complaints@nhs.net.

Best wishes

Karen
