"Reassured and well looked after"

About: Tavistock Hospital

I was really impressed by the help I got coming in after getting myself off Dartmoor with a ruptured Achilles tendon. I was really nervous about the consequences of my accident but was warmly welcomed by the nurse practitioner who was very reassuring even when giving me the bad news that the injury was quite serious. The NP treated me there and then and I left feeling a lot more comfortable. Two days later in the Fracture Clinic at home the Dr confirmed the assessment made in Tavistock and pretty much picked up my treatment from where it left off, no contradictions etc. In a time when we hear so much in the media about lack of care and poor standards its good to experience NHS care how it should be. Thank you.
