After having cataract surgery on both eyes I now need yag laser surgery again in both eyes this is a fairly common and very quick procedure less than 20 minutes to get my sight back to a fairly good condition However my problem is the waiting time first I had to go to a opticians then they have to write to the hospital with a referral letter for yag surgery the waiting time is 37 days for a consultation, then I have to wait again to have the laser treatment In the mean time I cannot even read a paper,or even watch tv as my eyes are so cloudy I currently live alone and am currently bumping into things I have already fallen down steps and am struggling a bit around the house and shopping,I have bought several pairs of ready reading glasses at full strength but they do not help I cannot drive my car to the shops and have to ask for my shopping items as I cannot see them this is very embarrassing If I had known about this condition after cataract surgery and the length of time you have to wait to have the laser treatment I would not have had it done in the first place I am just stuck in the house waiting to have the procedure done very worrying and upsetting and I'm not sure what to do next
