"Poor service at king george hospital barley lane,..."

About: King George Hospital

I just visited king george hospital 03.03.2015/21:10 All the symptoms I had, added up to malaria, surprised how the doctor just put a few plastic equipment in my ear and on my chest an just assumed I'm fine, I have had diarrhoea for the past 6days, also vomiting and high temperature, she just said to go home and rest and have paracetamol, I was thinking, that they could of just told me that over the phone on 111, the issue is that, doctors can not always see pain and can misjudge symptoms without correct checks, I normally take note of the doctors name however because I was unwell I forgot to take a note of my doctors name, so I walked back into the hospital after 2mins and asked what the doctors name was, the lady gave me attitude, she did not want to give the doctors name who had just seen me nor did she want to give her name, what was wrong with given the doctors name for my records? Are they that bad in providing a service we're all us tax payers pay for, does it not seem dodgy that they were hiding each others name? So this shows me that nhs service at king george hospital is poor, if I have an infection and the doctors advised me incorrectly then does that mean I have no right to complain and give the correct doctors name? Or is this away for the doctors to get away with misadvising or even giving incorrect information? I understand that some people exaggerate their illness but doctors need to stop being biased towards patients. I try my best to avoid visiting hospital and gp's as I am not the type to visit these places as I am normally fit and well, but going to my gp and king george hospital have proven to hold terrible poor service, in comparison to central london, the doctors just assume your fine and use the words "hopefully you will recover" I could of sat at home and hoped until I recovered, I asked the doctor do I need a blood test in king george hospital as I just came back from holiday and have been bitten, she told me to wait until friday, I have already waited for 6 days, this is what I mean about nhs service, if doctors are making their patients wait until their virus/infection increases then what is the point of nhs and doctors, are they not there to prevent viruses? We should all be on private because it just seems like money talks when it comes to health, it is either that the doctors can not be bothered to do their jobs properly or they genuinely don't know what their doing and taking chances, chances cause higher illness and virus spread. my complaint here is that the service from king geroge hospital this evening proves some of the staff hold poor attitudes.

Thank you for your comment on NHS Choices. I am sorry you were not satisfied with your experience on your recent visit to King George Hospital. The communication between yourself and our doctors and other staff appears to have been poor and I apologise that this was the case, our staff should be open and honest with all our patients. It sounds like the service you received fell well short of what you expected and this is unacceptable. I really want to investigate this for you urgently. In order to do so I will need more information. Please contact me via our PALS team on 01708 435 454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk and I will investigate. Yours sincerely, Nadeem Moghal, Medical Director
