"No information"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

I had an Orthopaedic Outpatients appointment on 26 February following which the consultant filled out a form for a physiotherapy referral. This form was taken by one of the nurses who was on duty in outpatients. I was taken to the Outpatients reception area and left to wait for the Patient Transport service to take me home. I was not given any information regarding the physiotherapy referral. I decided to wait several days before chasing up the physiotherapy referral as I am aware that outpatient appointments come second class from a return address in Bristol. Since nothing arrived in today's post I rang the outpatients appointment service. They do not deal with physiotherapy appointments so I was transferred to the physiotherapy service who informed me that I have been placed on a waiting list for a home visit. I am extremely unhappy that I was not given this information prior to returning home from my outpatients appointment.

Hello, first of all I am sorry you did not get a response to your message here at the time.

This was because of a technical problem with the website which means some posts were not coming through to us, which we are now putting right. I am really sorry you were not given enough information about your physiotherapy referral, and will pass that onto the team. Thank you for your feedback, we do appreciate as it helps us to make improvements.
