About: Darent Valley Hospital

Not finding the group session useful or helpful for my rehabilitation. Not enough 1:1 time to identify the problem, issues I am having. There doesn't seem to be any oversee as to whether the exercise I am doing is right for me, causing me issue or if it is actually too easy and not beneficial to me at all. It seems to be a "one size fits all" approach to rehabilitation/treatment despite all of us having different needs.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience with our group rehabilitation sessions. In many instances individuals find them very beneficial for their recovery from injury. However, if you are not finding them specific enough for your needs then please speak to the sports therapist in the group or ask at reception to speak with the physiotherapist who referred you to the group. They will be able to make a change to your treatment plan so that it does meet your needs. I hope you are able to follow my advice. Kind regards Stuart Waterman Physiotherapy Manager
