I was recently diagnosed with HIV and a severe case of pneumonia, after a good month or so of being very ill. After ringing for an ambulance, the paramedics were fantastic and took me straight to a bed in A&E, where after a three hour wait I was transferred to the HDU, where I was for four days until being transferred to a respiratory ward where I stayed for another week. I just want to thank every staff member I had contact with on each of these wards and units, every doctor, nurse, paramedic, admin, and others - I was and am astounded at the level of comfort, care and compassion you gave me, and I feel very proud of you all. Admirable people, great hospital.
"Superb hospital and staff"
